Inspired by a tiny book a client showed me, I've written the Noon Club Manual, a 130-page book with an innovative design. It should be available in several months, although a major publisher is reviewing it and if they decide to take it on, that could delay release... but for a good cause!
When we look at the world scene, it's obvious that most of us are becoming increasingly reactive. There's just so much more extreme stimulation to react to! Politically, climate woes, economic challenges, abuse exposure... the news brings us a constant stream of disturbing stories and images that beckon our emotional reaction.
This emphasizes the vital need to develop our ability to remain proactive... no matter what. And it explains why the primary Noon Club practice, pausing for a moment of meditation every day at noon, remains so important. That simple pattern interrupt trains our brains, it helps us take a break from the madness, to remember our connection with spirit and each other.
Although I invite everyone to do what they wish at noon, I also advise that everyone come up with their own declaration. If you'd like to join me in mine, here it is:
"This is the moment. Something wonderful is happening. I am creating the future with __________. "
The idea is to insert the quality of your choice, probably something different every day. Like, love, compassion, forgiveness, confidence, etc.
I'm in the process of building out this website, creating the subscriptions service with the new posts and audios, and will be convening a weekly meeting in my Ashland office, with a live feed open to anyone, anywhere.
Spread the word. Here's a card you can use. Print and pass around.
